Introduction And Guide To CCNA- The Fundamentals

CCNA EXAM CODE NAMES AND NUMBERS:

=CCNA Exam (640-801) -> Only one exam to be taken to be certified as CCNA.

=INTRO(Introduction To Cisco Networking Technologies (640-821)) -> Should be taken first before the ICND exam.

=ICND(Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices(640-811)) -> Should be taken after INTRO Exams.

Unfortunately these Exam code were actually retired on November 6, 2007 and replaced by an updated CCNA 640-802, 640-822 ICND1, and 640-816 ICND2 on August 1 2007. The same procedure applies on how to avail the certification as aboved.

Candidates who pass the first track of the two-option (640-822) CCNA exams will now achieve the new Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) certification, So taking the 640-816 next will certify you as an official CCNA.

As having said that CCNA has been completely updated way beyond routing and switching to include wireless, security, VOIP, DHCP/DNS/IPV.6, VPN and other important topics on their objectives. CCNA covers two networking model, the OSI (Open Systems Interconnections) and the TCP/IP architectural model that are being utilized on every network especially on Cisco networks infrastructure. Because of its existence, TCP/IP contributes a large collections of protocol in order for system devices to reach and communicate from each other within the networks.
