Building Your Own PC - Step 1RECOMMENDED TOOLS
STEP 1 (PREPARING THE CASE WITH STAND-OFFS READY) Computer cases come in many different designs and form factors. Each manufacturer has their own method for securing the case. Here we will use the ATX case. Let us start by opening the case and putting it with the side opposite case door facing down on your work area. Check on the motherboard's standoffs that should have come with the case. They are screws with screw holes on the top. This is used to level and balance the position of the board and keeps the main board from touching the surface of the case. So start putting the standoffs on the holes of the case and make sure it corresponds with the holes of the motherboard, so try to fit it down the case to make sure, but do not srew it yet, because it is recommended to install the CPU and Memory module first before mounting the motherboard to the case. Unlike others, they screw their board first into the case and install the CPU and the Memory right on it. Having said frankly that it is not actually safe for the components because you will exerting more effort to push the components down the motherboard inside the case especially the heatsink, so it might bend, crack or damage the board, and it is not comfortable anyway.
TO OPEN THE CASE, UNSCREW THE BACK PANEL, THEN PULL THE PANEL TOWARDS YOU .
